Do you know someone who is battling cancer – a neighbor, friend or loved one?  Is your heart moved with compassion and a desire to help these people?

Christ Church Otsego is excited to announce Our Journey of Hope, a biblically-based cancer care ministry open to anyone who is ready to make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.  We want to bring practical support and the hope of Christ to every person in our congregation and community affected by this illness.

Ministry Training Topics will include:

  • Why cancer care ministry is important
  • What cancer is, and how it is treated
  • The impact of cancer on spirit, mind and body
  • What effective and compassionate ministry looks like
  • Emotional, Spiritual and Physical needs of those dealing with cancer

Make a commitment today to no longer allow these people to walk through this difficult journey alone.  Register now for Our Journey of Hope small group that will equip and empower you for this special outreach.

The first meeting will be held on Monday, September 13th from 6-8 PM at CCO in Conference Room 3.  To learn more about this important ministry opportunity, please contact Darcy Boyes at darcy@christchurchotsego.org, or call 763-441-5097 ext 10.

LONG LOST FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP

With increased interest in researching family lineage and DNA testing, there have been a growing number of people discovering surprising information that can sometimes rock their world.   Did you have a surprise result from a DNA test? Are you dealing with the reality that a parent is not really your biological parent? You are not alone. In the book of Romans, we are told that each of us is special and God has a plan for our lives. That’s where the Long Lost Family support group is a small group just for you. This monthly small group meets at CCO on the third Saturday of each month at 6:30 PM. We will discuss encouraging Bible passages, and share our stories, in a trusted setting. We also invite those who gave up a child for adoption, or maybe you were adopted, and feel an emptiness and are looking for answers. Spouses, or your other support person is also welcome. Click here to get more info and/or join the group.

We'd love to meet you!

Whatever your faith background, we invite you to come and join us as we experience God’s love and grow in our faith together.
