Sometimes we get so excited about the gift that we forget to remember the giver. So, this month we will take some time to look around at the wonderful gifts God has given us and teach our preschoolers that God is good! We want our preschoolers to know that all of the good things they see in the world are good gifts from a very good God Who loves them. And we can say “thank you, God!” Everywhere we look we see good gifts that God has given us, like friends and family, people who help us, and yummy food. . . like donuts! But DONUT forget to thank God because God is good!…………..

Christmas is about celebrating the most special person . . . Jesus! Jesus is special because Jesus is God’s Son. We don’t have to buy Him a gift, and we don’t have to wear fancy clothes to His birthday party. But we can celebrate Him. So, let’s throw a pajama party to help our preschoolers celebrate and learn that Jesus is God’s Son. We want our preschoolers to know that God loved the world so much that He gave His Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever and to make a way for us to always be with Him. It’s our biggest hope that you will create such a memorable month for preschoolers that they will never forget that Jesus is special because Jesus is God’s Son.

Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35, NIrV) However, sometimes generosity doesn’t come naturally to us. We want the newest and best things, or we want everyone to notice what we have. When we really enjoy the things we have, sometimes that makes it harder for us to be willing to share with others. However, with the help of God’s Spirit, we can learn that HOW we give is more important than even WHAT we give. It’s about our hearts. God showed us the ultimate example of generosity by sending Jesus.

Have you ever stopped to listen to a group of carolers and then joined them to go spread some more Christmas cheer with others? Music is such a big part of Christmas, but it’s not the main reason we celebrate. It’s easy to get distracted with all the lights, presents, and traditions that sometimes we forget it’s not about the things we do, but Who we do it for and why we do it. That’s why this December, we’re singing loudly as we jam out to our Christmas Playlist to celebrate Jesus, God’s greatest gift! The best gift God ever gave was Jesus. Because of Jesus, it’s possible for us to have a relationship with God that will last forever. As we get in the mix this Christmas season, let’s take time to remember the reason we celebrate in the first place: Jesus, the greatest gift the world has ever known.

We are looking for volunteers in Nursery, Preschool Sunday School, and K-5th grade classes that are Sunday mornings at 10 AM. Teach every other Sunday. A Night in Bethlehem is a Bible-times Christmas event for families. We will transform our church into the town of Bethlehem. Families will visit shops in the Bethlehem marketplace, make projects, and hear the story of Jesus’ birth from the Shopkeepers. The experience will end at the stable where they will see Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus and the animals.
We are looking for volunteers to make an impact for Jesus in our community this Christmas. Some of the areas are: Registration, Shop Keepers, Shop Helpers, Decorating, Set-up, Clean-up, and After-event follow-up. There are two Leadership positions, which include Decorations Leader and Experience Leader.
