Following the leader is definitely something preschoolers love and understand. What they need to learn is that throughout life there will be countless choices of leaders they can follow. We want them to know who the best leader is to follow. And that is Jesus! Jesus is the best leader we can follow! By the end of this month, when we ask preschoolers who can you follow, our prayer is that they will answer, I can follow Jesus! Why? Because Jesus loves us, and He will always lead us in the best way.

Have you ever been somewhere where it was so dark you couldn’t even see your hand in front of your face? So much darkness that you have to shuffle slowly, stumbling your way across the room with arms stretched out, hoping, searching . . . and then finally, with the flip of a switch, LIGHT! Light changes everything.
This month, we’re talking about light, but not just any light. We’re talking about Jesus—the light of the world—and how when we do what Jesus says, we shine. We shine the light of Jesus! After this month, we hope every time you and your preschoolers see a lamp or a star-filled sky, you remember that people were made to shine, and we have Jesus—the light of the world—to show us how. So let’s not hide our light. Let’s SHINE and light up the dark so others can see their way to Jesus.

We can decide that someone who has wronged us doesn’t have to pay. With God’s help, we can free ourselves from the weight of anger and bitterness, while giving the other person an opportunity to rewrite the story.

We live in a “me-centered” world, where people act as if the world revolves around them. It can be hard to figure out how to be humble throughout the different circumstances we face. Thankfully, we don’t have to figure this out on our own. When Jesus was on earth, He gave us the ultimate example of humility. Jesus is God, and He put that aside for us. Through His life and death, Jesus also showed us how to serve others and put them first.

EVENTS
SPECIAL PALM SUNDAY SERVICE
1. 4-5th Grade Students NEED to arrive by 9:30 and will be the greeters & ushers for this special Palm Sunday Service.
2. Preschoolers and K-3rd Grade Students NEED to arrive by 9:45 in their classrooms to get ready to line up, get their palms and head down to the Big Church. This is a favorite CCO Tradition.
3. Kids will wave palms and sing Hosanna with the adults, then sit down at the front of the church for a special Palm Sunday Children’s Sermon.
Can’t wait to see you all as we celebrate Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem!!

5th Grade Crossover Night
