Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Baptism is an expression of God’s love for us. It is an act of obedience to God that symbolizes the cleansing that takes place when our sins are forgiven. At Christ Church we practice infant baptism. It doesn’t matter whether you’re baptized as an infant, a teenager, or an adult, baptism is God’s gift to remind you of his unconditional love in Jesus Christ.

Families or individuals interested in holding a baptism should sign up to attend a one hour Baptism Class where together we will examine baptism and what it means for daily living. This class is intended to help baptism candidates, parents, and sponsors understand their commitments in baptism. Contact the church office to sign up for a class.

Upcoming Class Dates:
  • Wednesday, August 12 @ 6 PM
  • Wednesday, September 16 @ 6 PM

Inner Healing & Prayer Ministry

Get to the root

So many of the things that keep us in bondage are hidden deep beneath the soil. We struggle mightily with anxiety, fear, anger, and other negative emotions, but we are at a complete loss as to why they’re there in the first place! Before we can be truly set free, we must have eyes to see what’s at the root of our problems. At CCO we partner with the Lord in our ministry to help guide the hurting to the root of their pain.

Realign with truth

God has built both spiritual and physical laws into His creation. They apply to our lives whether we are aware of them or not. And love is the essential ingredient that fulfills all of these laws. By realigning ourselves with the tools of love – forgiveness, mercy, and grace – and applying them to our root issues, those roots begin to lose their power. The damaging effect they have had on our lives subsides. That which was out of rhythm with God’s perfect design is removed!

Walk in victory

The cross was the final victory over sin and death. Victory was and is always there for our taking, yet sin and death are still hard at work to keep us from truly experiencing the freedom Christ has brought us. By healing the areas of our hearts that have not yet come into agreement with this truth, we experience the true freedom that God intended us to have. We can now experience victory and lift the illusion of defeat.

Long Lost Family Support Group

With increased interest in researching family lineage and DNA testing, there have been a growing number of people discovering surprising information that can sometimes rock their world.   Did you have a surprise result from a DNA test? Are you dealing with the reality that a parent is not really your biological parent? You are not alone. In the book of Romans, we are told that each of us is special and God has a plan for our lives. That’s where the Long Lost Family support group is a small group just for you. This monthly small group meets at CCO on the third Saturday of each month at 6:30 PM. We will discuss encouraging Bible passages, and share our stories, in a trusted setting. We also invite those who gave up a child for adoption, or maybe you were adopted, and feel an emptiness and are looking for answers. Spouses, or your other support person is also welcome. Click here to get more info and/or join the group.
