Kid’s Ministry

CCO Kid’s Church 2021-22 meets September-May on Sundays @ 10 AM

Here at CCO, we believe that faith formation begins at birth. Whatever age your kid(s) are at we have wonderful, loving, committed leaders that will lead them in age-appropriate curriculum. On Sunday mornings the Bible is brought to life through, games, hands-on learning, storytelling and crafts. Our curriculum comes from ThinkOrange where the main focus is on partnering with parents to have a positive influence in the  spiritual development of their kids.  Contact our Kid’s Ministry Director Cyndy Nelson @ cyndy@christchurchotsego.org

Kid’s Church Overview

Preschool in January

I am wonderfully made in God’s image! Do you ever think about yourself like that? We tend to forget about all of the wonder that went into making us as we become grown-ups. Time has a way of dulling our shine. It’s part of the reason why people have to prod us to ‘say cheese’ when they take our picture. If we really knew that we were made in the image of God we would be smiling from ear-to-ear as we lived in the wonder that God made me!

MONTHLY OVERVIEW

Jan. 9 – Wonderfully Made In God’s Image
Jan. 16 – You Are Important to God   |
Jan. 23 – God Loves Us So Much
Jan. 30 – I Can Pray to God

Preschool in February

It’s time for a Beach Party—sand, sun and a whole lot of fun! Jesus spent a great deal of time on or near the beach. In fact, He performed MANY miracles near the water. So, the beach is the perfect environment for our preschoolers to learn that Jesus can do anything. With God all things are possible!

MONTHLY OVERVIEW

Feb. 6 –  Water to Wine
Feb. 13 – Catching Fish
Feb. 20 – Feeding the Five Thousand

K-5th Grade in January

This month we are learning about  the connection between Self-control and God’s character. We trust God no matter what. Even when we face unexpected circumstances, we can respond to them with self-control. We can trust that we don’t need to rush in or take matters into our own hands. We can trust that God is working. Self-Control is one of the fruits of the Spirit. As we follow Jesus throughout our lives, the Holy Spirit transforms us and helps us live more like Jesus.
