Baptism and Dedication
Baptism
Baptism is an expression of God’s love for us. It is an act of obedience to God that symbolizes the cleansing that takes place when our sins are forgiven. It doesn’t matter whether you’re baptized as an infant, a teenager, or an adult, baptism is God’s gift to remind you of his unconditional love in Jesus Christ.
Dedication
Baby dedication is where parents publicly commit to raising their child according to Christian values and teachings in partnership with the people of the church. It is not a baptism or christening, as it doesn’t involve water or signify the child’s personal faith, but rather focuses on the parents’ intentions to guide their spiritual upbringing.
